I do the actual novel writing all digitally (typing, I guess you mean, but if I had only a typewriter, I'd use that. )
I do the *outlining* as a mixture - there are certain steps that my brain strongly prefers to do by hand (with some of my many fountain pens, each inked with a different color).

While I like (for a version of 'like' that's respect and understand, but not 'find super peppy') Orwell's writing, I think taking writing advice from him - or any other writer of his period - is a bit risky.
Why on earth (or off it?) would I accept a limitation on the kinds of language I can use in my writing?
Why would YOU accept that?
Write your stories, make them good, send them out to play with other people. Write the next one.
That's it. That's the advice.

I... theme is such a concept. I don't usually write to/with a theme in mind, other than:
Be Who You Are To The Best Of Your Ability
and
Don't Hurt Other People On Purpose
But they're not really... explored in anything I write. That's not the kind of writing I do.
I write stories for people to have fun reading. If they find 'a theme', that's on them.

Hmm. Antagonists?
The PWF novels have actual Bad Guys - people who are looking to cause harm on purpose. (Defeating them is kind of the point!)
The romances are less clear; the 'antagonist' is loneliness? Not getting to be with the person who you love? Harder to articulate, but still unhappy.
(I mostly don't write The Evil Ex/The "Other Woman", though one of the upcoming romances has an evil ex.)

Inspiration?
The PWF books are all spite. I love the *concept* of PWF (woman old enough to be realistic has magical adventures), but the reality of most books in the genre were... not that. So I'm writing the ones I want to read.
The romances are mostly just because I like to write about people being happy with each other. The world needs more of that.

My work is teen-friendly, certainly, but probably not younger than that.
(I do have a series of picture books in my head, but I don't know that I can sell enough of them to make the time I'd spend on the art worthwhile.)
I write about adult things (and my romances have on-page sex), but I think teens are better able to deal with 'adult things' than many adults.

Advice I don't see often? Hmm.
Don't get attached to your writing. It's just words.
They might be words that are scraped from your soul, but ultimately, they're NOT YOU.
This means you should be able to separate critique of *your words/writing/art* from CRITICISM of *your SELF*.
Your writing will be stronger for the distance, and so will your psyche.
Also, stop sitting like a shrimp (stand up, twist around), have some water, and go pee.

The fact that I can write better than 'them' is the reason I'm a published writer at all.
I won't name names, because that's rude (and the writing world is *small, yo*), but... trust me. There's some awful writing out there and it's NOT MINE.

You're asking to buy the finished, flattened images or the base stock? Because he can't really sell the base stock - that has to be licensed directly to you from wherever he bought it.
But you should have already purchased the finished flattened images, no?
