@nprofile…wjfe I heard a Bill Burr bit on NPR recently where he says he can drive in an HOV lane in LA with a KKK outfit on and have a swastika flag and guns on the seat next to him - and he would be stopped for driving in the HOV lane with only one person in the car.
It's truly f&@cked up.
The tolerance of openly hostile fascism has been going on for decades, and it should have been literally curb-stomped after the first incident - but that would have been holding up a mirror to an ugly truth.

@nprofile…ahws At a previous company, we struggled with balancing complexity with freedom to experiment and fail.
Some programmers scoff at Scratch because it doesn't scale - ok, fine. That's not the goal. On the other hand I have seen some ridiculously complex things done with Scratch.
Kids don't need to learn to code as much as they need to learn to explore, experiment, fail, persist, research, discuss, compromise, and any number of other things that are useful in general.
Just my 2 cents.

@nprofile…5r33 Remember how much trouble Martha Stewart got into for selling a stock under questionable circumstances and avoided a loss of a little over 45,000 dollars?
45,000 dollars - that was a nice car in 2004.
And she actually did time for that - 5 months.
The numbers we are talking about today are so big they are almost unimaginable.
