#Today, apparently I have scheduled a breakdown. I looked inside and verified my entire body hurt, my eyes still swollen from the bawl fest of yesterday, my will to push through, lay in tatters in my heart and brain, while my daughter discovered a giant wolf spider on the ceiling of the laundry room. The micro and the macro world have teamed up and broke my heart. I need nature but I’m too tired to go anywhere so I will need to sit in my own tiny back yard space and contemplate my surroundings; the oak trees, the buckeye, the flowering white asters, the birds visiting the bird feeder, the sense of Fall stirring.

@npub189n…satx iInternationally, the State Department warns us against travel to any country that is destabilizing in such a way that visiting there is dangerous, a risk to your life. We now need to recognize these determinations for U.S states. For POC, for women, for LGBTQ, basically anyone divergent from their ideal of white, male supremacy. Travel advisories. That’s what it’s called. Big fucking travel advisory for Florida, Texas, Utah, any more?

One butterfly. This whole summer, that’s all I’ve seen. But it’s a beautiful monarch and it keeps returning to my neighbors ‘ front yard patch, soaring over all the milkweed and flowers like purple top vervain, my neighbor has planted. Two days we’ve been delighted by its’ presence flying in meandering widening circles between the two yards, seemingly showing off its’ soaring prowess, inviting admiration and gasps. In an age of extinction one butterfly. Just one. We follow its’ flight with gathering hope.

#caturday my sweet boy is gone. He died last Tuesday. We thought he was doing good on the new round of chemo treating the lymphoma in the lining of his intestines. And suddenly he wasn’t good at all. I am devastated. Those eyes. So deep so compelling you could just sink into them. Love him so much. I resist losing him! No no no ! #grief

@npub1v2s…mqq5 no that really doesn’t sound like what is going on with Feinstein …my brother-in-law has severe dementia and sometimes tweaking his meds causes a short improvement. Feinstein has so many co-morbidities, even if dementia wasn’t one of the problems she would still not be functional enough for the Senate. With great compassion and sympathy I ‘m feeling like Feinstein has got it in her head that demands for resignation are coming her way only because she is a woman. In this instance I don’t think it’s the case, but past and current practice in Congress does turn a blind eye to men who are well past their prime. #TermLimits

@npub1v2s…mqq5 yes I was just picking up more of the thread. Thank you for posting this. It’s an impossible situation, I’m afraid. She cognitively stuck in her perceived role unable to admit she can’t function in it. Awful. I once supervised a wonderful woman who worked as a circulation desk clerk in a public library well into her 80s. When I questioned her about the many errors in the library card applications she was responsible for, she looked at me and said (as if I should already know this), “That would be because I can’t see.” For the sake of the country there needs to be a way to remove her. 💔 Long term, Congress needs term limits pronto.
