Yet you post to a worldwide forum with open comments.
“seems to work pretty well” from a consumer perspective is not the same as sustainable. It says nothing about VC streams, worker’s conditions, or depletion of community resources.
This does of course not mean that there couldn’t exist a sustainable way to do this, but the current ways don’t seem to be sustainable.

@npub19lt…qfjk The Japanese successfully invading something outside the Japanese islands only happened after the Britishification/Americanisation in the 19th century. So it’s mainly the Japanese upper class wanting to emulate the British Empire.
They really tried before that, though.

@npub14ka…um78 Wood fibre is not environmentally neutral. Respirators are normally not recycled. And so on.
We don’t live in a priority-free world. Just saying that you’ll follow the precautionary principle won’t work. You’ll have to specify in which way.
And randomly saying “nonsense” even though you don’t know is sort of rude.

@npub14ka…um78 @npub1alm…57vz Applying the precautionary principle from an environmental perspective would avoid the use of masks. The same from a medical perspective would prescribe it.
Applying it from one medical perspective would roll out vaccines as slowly as possible, while from another medical perspective it should be as fast as possible.
A strong infectious diseases precautionary principle would dictate one house per person and no contact, even deliveries.

@npub1ddp…2tax @npub1lrv…tth9 I guess you are talking about two different kinds of ads, ads for publications and ads in publications. Ads in publications is easy, that’s not a problem in Mastodon. Ads for publications are either forced or chosen. Forcing ads in an open system is not possible, correct, but why would users use a system where ads are forced without any benefit to you? Chosen ads are possible in Mastodon (just follow them).
