I looked at this one, but I don't just want to reference, I want the metadata to *live* on nostr. Currently some teacher publishes a learning resource somewhere at attached some metadata like subject, taught competencies, appropriate educational level and so on. And then this data is fixed. In current infrastructure approaches it is not easy to adjust this metadata. Maybe it was published with subject biology, but you want to add chemistry as well and add some description on how you used it in chemistry.
Nostr is like made for this. People can fork the metadata and add their suitable Infos to it. The resource stays the same though referenced by the uri where it currently lives.
If you then think of WoT facilities you could provide a user lots of relevant services like when they search for content you can sort results based on their social graph and take into account with what resources (or their metadata) users already interacted with and so on.

Have you already thought about something like a block based editor?
Every block can be a certain kind. This could also facilitate remixing, you just pull other blocks in and out.
For the preview I would expect it to always be the full document as it is later rendered on the client

I want to do the following and need your opinion if that fits somehow into your nkb approach so it becomes a nkbip or a nud or...:
I want to publish metadata about learning resources via nostr. Though I'm unsure what the most nostr like approach is. I began with putting all that metadata as stringified json in the `content` field. People didn't like it and from what I heard, you got the same feedback (i didn't see any complaints in this nip though :https://github.com/nostr-protocol/nips/pull/1454).
Anyways I already have a detailed spec I want to use for the metadata (e.g. https://dini-ag-kim.github.io/amb/latest/ it's in german, but the examples at the bottom should be clear).
My approach would be to translate that to tags with positional arguments, e.g.

what other clients are working with lists?
I'm trying to delete a list from my client and I see it gets deleted on listr.lol, but my client still fetches it from the relays after a reload.
But listr is not fetching it anymore. Is listr doing some magic in the background @nprofile…7t04 ?
Do I have to do something client wise like checking if there was a deletion event? I have strfry and nostr-rs-relay set up for test purposes.

I think nostr.band is what you think of as layer 2, or? I think @bruggeman fetches a lot of stuff, Indexes it and makes it available via an API for other clients. Don't know if it is available as a DVM yet.
@npub1xts…kk5s did some interesting things developing nostrdb and can query insanely fast just on the client.

I get your point. And I totally agree on that fediverse argument.
For the attributes it did not make that much of a difference. For the values though it was a lot of times useful to have resolvable IDs that provide data on their own. But you could achieve that with different type of technology as well, I grant you that.

The tools need to be handled the right way.
I worked in a project where we imported thousands of educational resources from dozens of platforms. All annotated with JSON-LD based on a well defined schema. Worked perfectly and was interoperable as fuck.

You are an amazing fellow and it's a pleasure to be with you on this journey here.
But I have similar feelings sometimes. Would love to be in nostrasia, nostrville on that Madeira island and where all the cool boys and girls are. And that nostr spirit connects us very well, so the feeling to be not with them is quite hard sometimes.
Would also love to contribute more, but fiat jobs keep me busy and I have a family to feed. And my boys wanna play with their dad too, so when develop that fancy nostr stuff?
So yes, I'm a bit depressed sometimes too, but it also keeps me pushing to find that few minutes now and then to do stuff and it feels great.
