This is probably the biggest shift in the business of buying and selling homes in at least the last 20 years; add in the eventual drop in mortgage rates when the Fed finally starts to cut, and we could see very significant improvements in home affordability in the next few years.

Two, that the confusion will increase with artificial intelligence. We will make a fundamental category error. We will think of AIs as friends when they’re really just services. Three, that the corporations controlling AI systems will take advantage of our confusion to take advantage of us. They will not be trustworthy. And four, that it is the role of government to create trust in society. And therefore, it is their role to create an environment for trustworthy AI. And that means regulation. Not regulating AI, but regulating the organizations that control and use AI.”

My status in chat has said simply "grateful." for a while now, and one of the things I'm doing this week (taking some overdue vacation) is just sitting around reflecting on all I have to be grateful for (especially the people in my life, past and present, who helped support and guide and shape me). There's no remedy for pride or anxiety that I have found half as effective as regularly and consistently practicing gratitude.

@npub1psd…9sr7 @npub13zy…3zww discovered to my pleasant surprise in the past year that my iPad Pro (with an excellent keyboard/trackpad case from Logitech) covers about 95% of my use cases now. I haven’t brought my MacBook on a trip since pre-pandemic.

Prompted by recent events in my life: don’t wait until somebody leaves (your team, your org, your church, your friend group) - whether on good terms or otherwise - to let them know they are valued, appreciated, loved. The appreciation I am expressing now for a friend who is moving away would have been that much more of an encouragement if I’d shown it years ago.
The best time to let somebody know that you are grateful for them, and that they matter, and are seen, is *right now*.

Life is too short to spend it being miserable, or anxious, or angry, because of what someone else did or said. Don’t grant people that kind of control over you.
