Prompted by recent events in my life: don’t wait until somebody leaves (your team, your org, your church, your friend group) - whether on good terms or otherwise - to let them know they are valued, appreciated, loved. The appreciation I am expressing now for a friend who is moving away would have been that much more of an encouragement if I’d shown it years ago.
The best time to let somebody know that you are grateful for them, and that they matter, and are seen, is *right now*.
