CPU cycles aren't free.
Memory reads and writes aren't free.
That shit takes power. A miniscule amount per instance, yes, but it adds up quick if it's from an app that everyone uses constantly. All that power comes from somewhere, and right now that's mostly fossil fuels.

Finally got a decent pic with the new 3x focal extender last night! Only a monochrome luminance image of M81, but it looks pretty.
I tried getting the same image with my color cam the night before, but the seeing conditions weren't as good and the end result was just a boring fuzzy blob around the galaxy core.

One of the things I've been relearning since being diagnosed with #ADHD is how to relax.
For people that struggle with executive dysfunction, relaxing doesn't just mean doing a "relaxing activity" or something enjoyable. We can't always unwind by reading a book or meditation or whatever.
We spend a lot of mental energy keeping our brain on a short leash to get things done. For us, relaxing means letting go of the self regulation and letting our brain run free for a bit.

Capitalism is not the right economic system to deal with this crisis. Capitalism is what *caused* the crisis to begin with.
