I would LOVE for there to be an easier solution than a political and cultural revolution, but I don't see how.
Capitalism is not the right economic system to deal with this crisis. Capitalism is what *caused* the crisis to begin with.
Capitalism needs constant growth. That's unsustainable on a finite planet, and impossible on a dying one. If we want to survive, even thrive, we need an economic system that's resilient and maximizes the welfare of the planet and *all* its inhabitants.
