There was one person who took objection to my use of quotes when I refereed to those Israelis who got the land through ethnic cleansing & now live on that land which serves as an outposts of occupation by apartheid state, cloaking themselves in leftist rhetoric all the while establishing "facts on the ground" (i.e. grabbing land by threat & actual manifestation of violence), and many of these "civilians" feel that leftist mask they wear apparently is no longer needed thanks to October 7th.
Even if we ignore one of my past arguments about the question of our own innocence, if we passively endorse the crimes of the state we live under (I am as much guilty of this as the next person on this), in Israel the story is far worse, the guilt of those right outside the prison wall.

What would you call a society this genocidal whose blood thirst is still at this level even after massacring 30,000 Palestinians & still continue to massacre them?
Most protests we hear about removing Nethanyahu are largely about internal power struggle, are not against genocide itself.

Have you ever thought about what opportunities genocides present?
I haven't before but the other article thats published by mondoweiss that talked about the Egyptian state goons selling access to escape the genocidal hell made me think about it.
You can only find these opportunities if think like a depraved Capitalist/Stateist, otherwise it wont as easy. If you do, there are a lot, some of them being
* You can sell weapons to massacre people
* You can sell "protection" services, to charge people to escape the massacre & willing population to whom you can sell "security services" i.e importance of "our own goon" service
* Engage in Human trafficking for Sex & Slavery as you have such vulnerable population
* Organ harvesting
I am sure there are many more, but you get the point
But most importantly, as a Capitalist, you can sell
* "Reconstruction" services to rebuild/recover from whatever other Capitalists destroyed.
Net effect:
Destruction is an extremely profitable venture to Capitalists.
Exactly the same reason why they destroy Environment too.
The more you destroy, the more you need to rebuild. So long as its a profitable endeavour to massacre people, we will always reach the same place where we are at now.

If we make arguments about nature (of man/environment), we always will end up not having a coherent position.
If your argument relies upon justice (whether its natural or not is only one factor in a series of factors we need to consider), then there will be nothing for any simp who adocates for hierarchical/authoritarian system such as Capitalism/Statism/Nationalism/Fascism/Monarchy/Aristocracy/…

How about his next level of legal sophistry I came across?
Lawless laws.
They dont see law to be having no moral content other than being the will of ruling class & nothing more (which is what in reality is). If people fight back, ruling class might temporarily give lil bit of concession which it can take away at any point thru another law or by "interpreting" law (point of black-gowned agents of ruling class) when the opportune time comes.
The starting position of legal sophists (shitlibs & the legal "left") is the foundation of the system is on solid footing, but all that needs to happen is existing system of domination needs to be more "humane", else, everything else is not that bad — more or less.
The loyalty they have to the system is far more than their commitment to Justice. They shame the same religious fervour as actual religious people, but the god they pray to is the Constitution (which is nothing but foundational law ruling class cons everyone to impose all other laws), written by, written for ruling class & imposed upon everyone else.
They have a fool proof argument to win their case. Its as solid as *god can do no wrong* & all fault lies with us mere mortals level of delusion, but applied to laws.
