The current mastodon android app, when you press "Load missing posts" sometimes load them below and sometimes above.
It is very annoying and forces you to scroll around when it does the opposite of what you want.
Does anybody know when it does what? To me it seems random.

Twitter probably doesn't actually delete anything, because they'd want the data for training their AI, and to profile you if you sign up again.
A delete is hardly ever a delete if the data is on somebody else's computer.

I wrote 'his' because historically, secretaries were men. Highly skilled, trusted and well remunerated.
Secretarial work became 'unskilled' when women took it over, as in the secretary stenographing letters for the boss.
Unskilled means, of course, not unskilled, but under-valued. Low paid. Low social status.
Then, as we so much else, secretarial work has been automated.
With the advent of the desktop computer, the boss could jot down his own letter, or even dictate it to a machine.

Historically, a secretary was one who knew his master's secrets, who read and wrote the letters and had the archive.
Outsourcing secretarial work literally means outsourcing your confidentiality.

Currently I do History Walks in Venice, where I live.
I ran a kayaking business in Venice for over ten years.
I worked in IT for some time, mostly sysadm, web, lots of Perl, Linux, SQL.
I once tried academia but it didn't make me happy. However, I wrote a book about the Sicilian mafia.
I spent about ten years at university, and had lots of fun, and got a MSc in CS & math, and MA in history & Italian. Wrote GNU M4.
