My dog has been in poor health for a while and I knew that it was coming, but still didn’t make it easier to decide to euthanize her today.
We agreed that it was for the best but I’m still crushed by how many vet visits ended with, “we’re not sure what’s going on but we can make her more comfortable”

What are some interesting community gathering spaces that you've seen that might be an alternative to something like Discord? A strong preference on platforms that already have their own interfaces that end-users can sign up/in to, without a strong technical background.

I just don't vibe well with the technical arguments of "this company can do X and federation means Y" that present the social side of communities as unable to act.
