Thinking out loud:
Bitcoin is so predictible, so so predictible that you can make plans, strategies and more with that. It's so transparent that common sense dictates everyone should have their part but people don't predictability as a feature, in fact they don't see this. Most people got stuck with the volatility and NgU-scheme, watching governments move bitcoins...stressfully boring.
#Bitcoin is limited and scarce and yet people prefer shortcuts, use coins that are *(checks notes)*...stables? They prefer to play in a market that is rigged and it's not something against it; papers, articles, MOVIES and documentaries are made about it. But no, bitcoin being predictible is not enough. Other times I used to say the famous "have fun staying poor" but today...I don't know, kinda weird answering that. As a content creator, I somewhat failing because not too many people are interested in the positive properties of sound money.
Did I miss something? Did I explain correctly?

- Mutiny me persigue con su plan "premium" y por eso, ya se ganó mi enemistad.
- Wallet of Satoshi es la mejor custodial. Sí, ya sé que "custodial" y "mejor" en la misma oración no van. Aún así, es un servicio y ya.

How do these illegal farms work?
Choose a plot of land, build a hosting where they generally store machines of dubious origin. Next, corrupt officials from the ANDE are requested, through bribery, to connect you to the Medium Voltage system and your mining is up and running. To avoid further inconveniences, a bribery scheme kicks in where everyone is involved: businessmen, drug traffickers, mobsters, authorities from the Prosecutor's Office, Judges, and of course, the same company that provides the electricity.
Context
Paraguay has experienced a heatwave, unlike anything seen in many decades, which has caused the demand for electricity to reach new historical peaks. According to the ANDE, one of the causes of the electrical failures would be the miners who connect to the electrical system. In the first 90 days of 2024, there were raids on these illegal mines where the equipment was "seized". The mentioned company directly blamed the mining sector for these mentioned failures.
The Law
Taking this context into account, the law has these characteristics:
To prohibit, starting from the promulgation for 180 days, any activity related to cryptocurrencies, with an emphasis on mining farms.
In the first three articles, they request the prohibition of the creation, conservation, storage, and commercialization of any cryptoasset or cryptocurrency.
Is it stupid?
Yes. The law itself clashes directly against the National Constitution of the country since it states that you are guilty of carrying out a completely legal activity; this bill is a direct attack and has no relation whatsoever to the theft of energy or anything else.
Will the law work?
So...no. As stated, ANDE is working with those illegals, charging fees up to 3.000 USD per MW/h; the bribery is strong with this and the draft bill is not helping anyone in any way.
And how do you know that the company works with the mobsters?
In the year 2016, the task of laying fiber optic cables to all the power substations throughout the country began, or in other words, the company knows which parts have consumption peaks, how much they need, where, when... and here comes the really funny part, the same company that today mourns the losses, gave contracts to many mining companies. So, where do we stand?
What should I do?
Come to Paraguay, it's just political noise and talk to natives or don't. Either way, nothing has changed. And in second case, just buy bitcoins and do what's best for you.

something interesting happened to me since I have #NOSTR and is that my time speny doing scrolling or staying in social networks has decreased. But in a good way. Helped me to focus more on other things rather than spend hours scrolling through unneccesary shit.
Tiktok is an example. It's the heroin of social networks and yet, you'll stay there for hours. Here, you'll read your signals and thar's it. It's a perfect time spent. Nostr and #bitcoin altogether fixes social network. This is the future.

Small story: a journalist, friend, asked me if I could explain what the heck is this NOSTR that the Twitter CEO was talking (sic)..happily, I started to show him how it works, what can you (and can't) do with this and his face was 🤯
- OK, and how do I create my account?

- wait a minute, what happen if I lose my pk or something similar? How do I recover them?

- Nah, it's too hard and I have a reputation to protect.
Instead of arguing, I just say "ok" but my doubt remains: NOSTR is censorship resistant, protect his reputation means that if he/she make a mistake and their PK got lost, how do they get back? Will they have to all start over again?

Personal story: since the Ledger's leak and didn't like Coldcard (sorry, not for me), I decided to take another path: use a very old Android phone, took everything out and just left with two wallets: Bluewallet with the Vault and Samourai Wallet.
First, receive my sats in Samourai and send to Whirpool, after several days, send partially to Vault to where I'm stacking sats.

Luego de sentarme a reflexionar y luego de ir a caminar cerca de 10k mientras escuchaba podcasts sobre bitcoin, luego de asesinos seriales y luego la mitad de un episodio de Saif con Lex Friedman, llegué a la conclusión de que NOSTR aún no es el lugar ideal para alguien que quiera construir su reputación en el ecosistema. Ni siquiera es un lugar ideal (aún) para personas que deseen construir algo, tipo Linkedin o Twitter.
¿El gran problema? Aún no lo sé, pero al ofrecerle a una persona que desee construir su reputación, la pregunta de "¿y si pierdo mis llaves privadas, pierdo mi identidad?" me es aún dificil de responder.

Aprender idiomas en duolingo creo que es el pasatiempo favorito de muchas personas, visto que tengo una racha de +150 días, parece ya todo posible..apuntando ya a llegar a más de 200. Aumentando de a 50 días de meta, uno se asegura de tener metas que puedan ser trazable.
Uno de los errores habituales creo es el hecho de empezar soñando demasiado grande, a tal punto que no se puede cumplir. Pero algo más, ¿encontrarían interesante por ejemplo aprender idiomas y que te paguen sats por hacerlo? ¿O zaps? ¿O cashus?
