To go back on the points in your original take and explain why I believe it doesn't fit the framework you are describing:
Superposition: UTXOs are always unspent thus are in a deterministic state (the timechain being the only guarantor of truth).
Entanglement: One can't just make UTXOs interact like particles, you either destroy them to create new UTXOs or you don't. Once they are destroyed that's the end of their story.
Measurement: Before a new block is mined a UTXO is unspent, this is a deterministic state therefore there is no need to collapse any wave function.
I hope this makes my argument clearer.
Thanks for sharing yours thoughts on this, though I disagree It has been interesting to think about.

The question might be why do we need to scale? Is it improving the current functionalities of bitcoin (faster transactions, denser transactions…) or is it about new/different functionalities?
Maybe rollups are not suited for scaling core bitcoin functionalities.
I must say I have not yet experienced a situation where I needed a smart contract chain.
Confidential transactions might be an exemple.

The interest doesn’t need necessarily to be created ex-nihilo. You could work to produce equivalent value over 20 years. For example if you’re employed by the bank and they take their payments off your salary.
Banks bring future value into the present. Central banks on the other hand can conjure up money.

You can use sideswap. Very good and no kyc.
Drivechains don’t add anything meaningful until there’s a clear argument that show people are not using liquid because of the federated model.
Keep in mind lots of bitcoin are circulating on ethereum as wrapped tokens with worst trust models than a federation. Which indicates that it is not not trust model that people are after.
