@npub1gvl…8ag7 I wanted to read and collect them ALL. Them and Hardy Boys and Bobbsey Twins and Trixie Belden. I did finally get a boxed set of Laura Ingalls Wilder. I had to make do with what was in the public and school libraries for all the rest. Even the university library where I lived had a children's section with them.

@npub15wt…7rek So glad you've fulfilled your dream. I keep feeling in the wrong place at the wrong time. I interviewed for the job I have now when i was 22 and didn't get it. If I had, I'd be retiring by now. I got an MFA program but took six years. I wrote a timely book, but it was too timely, and I was young when I wrote it I didn't know how much work it still needed. I feel like if I'd just stuck with any one something a little longer, I wouldn't have so little to show for my efforts.

@npub15wt…7rek I love to write. I wish I could just be happy writing in the void. When i first started blogging, that's exactly what I was doing. But I know how powerful story is to change hearts and minds. So when is it time to just not care anymore about giving art to the world?

Someone give me hope today--I feel like I'm one bad decision away from losing my mind. My life doesn't look like I envisioned it would by now and I feel like everything I touch goes to shit. Someone convince me a creative life is worth living, even through the setbacks and disappointments. #bipolarDisorder #mentalIllness

@npub1gvl…8ag7 I say send the revised pages, with a note in the cover letter that you were a finalist for this contest (don't have to name it) and revised based on the feedback IF you really believe your revisions helped the story. If you don't really believe in your revisions, don't continue with them and send the other version.
