yeah exactly. They don't represent US Jews very well and that's not even their aim. It's also as a practical political matter, not expedient to care much what Jewish voters think. Jews are a small minority in the US, mostly concentrated in non-swing states. The minority within Evangelicals who are swing voters instead of solid Republicans end up mattering more to Democrats.

yeah I didn't catch that aspect of the wording but very suspect to characterize the pro-Israel lobby as the "Jewish lobby" And Jews in the US tend to be highly critical of Israel's actions right now (including many of the ones who call themselves pro-Israel).

I haven't read this yet but I plan on attending the book signing, but a trans man local to me (Salem Lynn Thornton) wrote a gothic young adult trilogy, with the first installment out now, Something so Lovely.
A few that might be on those lists because them being trans is mentioned in the books' about sections. Might not be your cup of tea though:

I get that. I think part of the difficulty in making those lists is that many trans writers don't want to be pigeonholed. It can be bad for one's career or self-esteem. So while they're not in the closet, they don't put that info in the press releases, where those bloggers would be looking. I'll list a few authors I can think of off the top of my head

it's never occurred to me to consume art just because it's made by a trans person. I just hunt out art that I like. And it just happens that so much of what speaks to me would turn out to be made by a trans person but it simply wasn't marketed as such.
This might be kind of like "Christian music" - if it's any good, it won't be called that.

Some #vegan chefs on youtube these days have an approach that goes against my culinary instincts. Think about something simple like a BLT. You get fat and protein from the bacon and starch from the bread. I would just infuse tofu or seitan with smokey savory flavors and fry that. But I've seen a technique using daikon that's supposedly very convincing. Vegans these days will put fried daikon on high protein bread. For me, meat replacement should be protein-laden (except mushrooms are ok).
