The corporations want undying and unquestioning loyalty from paying customer subscriptions (rental). Also same corporations will “slash, ditch and burn (SDB)” existing content to generate and claim a tax loss. Then corporation gets “shocked” when SDB applied to them by living and questioning subscribing customer.

@npub1ulm…hweg Designs that fail to do what- meet the low standard of Feist v. Rural?
Protecting an idea with the intention to leverage it in some material way is important.
My concern is the hoarding tendency in patent submissions to weaponize speculative designs (thought experiments) to hinder any competition just because you got an inkling of an idea. You are not going to develop but make damn sure that no one else will be able to either.

Tech reliance creates skill atrophy from lack of use & leaves us ill equipped when we need those skills.
GPS reliance reduced:
1. practice of personal, daily navigation
&
2. literacy of navigation assets e.g. a paper map.
Being able to navigate is no longer an essential skill but an elective one. With an over reliance on a smartphone-a device for connecting you with others, not to run your entire life.
Swap navigation for social interaction.
