I got rid of tabs entirely and use a searchable buffer as per vim-like web browsers (qutebrowser, tridactyl etc). You just press b and search for a tab by title.
You can also bookmark tabs and even sections of the page so you can quickly jump between several tabs on a single screen machine. It's awesome!

btw mastodon already provides all the tools for moderating this for your own sanity. You can mute conversations, mute/block individuals and post privately.

to me it feels like "screaming into the public with your ears closed" is a very toxic way to do public discourse even if you disagree about the very valid danger of misinformation here.
What's wrong with just posting privately? You can't have your cake and eat it too.
For a healthy public space it needs the ability to self correct and we know for a fact that peer pressure is effective.
In a more colloquial sense: if you want to talk shit you should be ready to take some shit too lol

People will troll and spread misinformation on public spaces without the ability for anyone to correct it.
I thought we learned that misinfo is extremely dangerous and yet here we are 1 step forward 2 steps back.

hey that's Lithuanian! Kvas is one of the best drinks ever made though canned versions are always oversugared. Real barrel stuff has a much stronger base and even a bit of a fizz!

I think that's intentional to discourage desktop launcher use. Desktop icons are just bad UX that should be retired imo
