I think it's really cool that ppl made stickers to warn us that the vending machines are funneling money to Israel, but when I looked at this sticker... The biggest high contrast words are "this product supports." The image is a watermelon. I got the exact opposite message from it on the first glance than the sticker was intended to relay. Hopefully this is a dyslexia thing so the ableds who don't second-guess everything they read understand the first time?

And they're super attached to the idea that the more abled someone is the better so obviously healing=good and crutch bad! (Never mind the fact that crutches help with healing, and that if someone tries to walk on a broken leg without assistance they'll just do more damage instead of simply learning how not to have a broken leg)

- has 90 GitHub repos in at least 5 different frameworks or languages
- has never finished a project except for maybe a couple of 3-day game jams
- keeps distrohopping and only adding functionality to their computer when they need it (this has gotten them in pickles with internet connection, but they will continue to operate like this)

Personally I think that's a valuable skill. I won't be doing the norm of making inaccessible apps and only adding accessibility features if people explain to me that they personally need them. But most people don't really like it when I consider hypothetical disabled people, because it makes them realize how many of their jokes, standards, etc are ableist. They didn't want to entertain the idea that X Y Z could be part of a disability, and therefore cruel to make fun of or discriminate against.

one of my biggest anxieties when writing scientific papers etc is knowing what I need to find citations for out of the stuff that I simply know. because it's okay not to if it's "common knowledge," but once someone is in academia for a while it's hard to tell what counts.
so hear me out: website where academics submit facts and ppl who aren't in that field of study tell them if that counts as common knowledge. writers get to know if they need to find sources, and voters get to learn tidbits?

Which means not only does it not have electric assist etc, but she actually can't even propel it herself. These chairs are designed to only work with a walking person pushing them! Which is, for anyone whose disability doesn't limit our arms, *so* much worse than being left in a manual wheelchair

- the right to stand up for their kids being misgendered or otherwise disrespected
- every other thing that they usually don't mean when they say "parental rights"
But then again, usually those tie into the rights of the kids... it's just that I've noticed all of the "parents have rights" people change their mind as soon as they encounter a parent who's supportive of their child

Going to work when you're sick a) can *kill people,* b) is likely to permanently disable people so they can't work *ever* rather than for a few days, and c) makes the illness much more likely to permanently disable *you* so *you* can't work ever again
