It helps me to look at it through the lens of populism.
From my view, it’s all about whether the politician appeals to the forebrain or the amygdala. Politicians that go for the amygdala are populists.
Fear and greed certainly get people to vote.
Unstable times, whether manufactured through political lies or in reality, increases the fear and greed.

Yes - we have two feeders and several wind chimes on the porch, plus the front yard is 80% garden. We also recently added a fountain that keeps the air moist and makes a nice background noise.

In the 80’s I understood economics. Aced macro and micro at my UC. Enjoyed them.
Now it all seems upside down to me. Huge age split here in California. Priorities are all different. Savings and home ownership just don’t matter anymore. Lifestyle drives everything. Investment capital is different. Wealth more concentrated.
I guess I understand it, but it is alien to me. I hope fusion, AI and asteroid mining bring us global wealth. If we survive. ;)

I recently followed a link to some very inflammatory rhetoric about Jews in America. So sad the horror in Palestine will be used to spread more hate and division.
