I believe Spurs will only sign one striker. There has been total silence about a Lankshear loan. Maybe they’re waiting to see who comes in first, but could also be Will & Deki will be deputies. Michael Ray Richardson had his issues with substance abuse over the years, leading to a ban from the NBA but was extremely quick at the top of his game. In 2001 at age 46, at the end of his career, he played for Olympique Antibes in France where Amir was born. No mention of who his mother is (obviously someone of Moroccan descent). Moore is making the first team & he will need minutes which most likely will come at RW. I certainly would take Neto if a reasonable fee plus add-ons could be agreed though. Chiesa no. If a player swap (or 2) is inserted in Solanke deal then that’s good business. It’ll lower the cost & also helps Bournemouth circumvent the 20% Liverpool sell-on clause. But Eze first, then work out the budget for the others after! #COYS

It all comes down to their priorities. I view Spurs goal total from last season as ‘acceptable’. Certainly it can be improved, but surrendering 61 is totally unacceptable & that has to be reduced significantly. Hopefully Gray will help at 6, but the whole midfield needs to be better defensively. Perhaps moving Deki inside will also help. If Eze has those defensive capabilities then getting him is essential along with a LCB. #COYS

It’s going to be difficult to discount any of the 4. One of Spurs’ biggest problems last year & against Bayern was the porous nature of the midfield. I am becoming very disappointed in Maddison’s play. While the others can play at 10, it’s very risky to rely on them there for the season. Lankshear has done nothing but impress & he should get a shot (though preferably with David). An added 9 depends on Richy’s status. I am warming to Neto if discounted a bit. #COYS

I am not sure comparing players a decade apart is telling & don’t know what else Lankshear needs to do to show that he is ready for an opportunity. It has been reported that he has impressed in training & he has impressed in the preseason friendlies. If he deputized Richy or David this year, he would be only a year younger than Kane & most likely score more than 3 goals. There are the minutes available for him to play. Sort of a boring match as I’ve been spoiled by #THFC but saw a brief (20 min?) cameo from J Ramsey. He had dribbly moments but also was muscled off the ball. Openda scored a tap in goal. Sesko was strong with his hold up play but alone on goal & shot it badly wide. Villa played the 2nd half with 10 as Carlos received 2 yellows, the second right after RBL’s 2nd goal. Overall though a snooze. My Spurs optimism has been bolstered!

He is versatile, so he can play a lot of positions, but in Ange's system, he is miscast as a RW. I would love him as a rotational option with David. #COYS
