I actually been doing a tech review of power stations for a purchase. I may start doing a part time van life.
I am looking at a Jackery Explorer 1000 Plus and a Alpicool CF35 Portable Car Refrigerator.
I can use these in a power failure and this combo is much more efficient than trying to power your home frig. They can go for days without even using solar cells. More with them.
Plus instead of $$$ sitting around waiting for a power failure I can take these with me and have fun.

Unfortunately in bad/cloudy weather when you are likely to have a power failure solar cells don't put out much. If you use more of the power bank then the solar cells are charging it, the power bank will run out.
With a stash of gas, my generator will run for a couple of weeks and keep powering my very high draw sump pump and hopefully keep my basement from flooding.
Apartment dwellers should ditch generators but for home owners maybe not.
But all shouldn't count on TX's grid.

From what I read in America, Japan and some other countries 2G is being shut down but other countries like the UK where they have a large fleet of these 2G meters deployed 2G will be around few more years at least. Some modern cell hardware maintains 2G fallback.

I don't know much about this so I did a little Googling
In a lot of places the meters still use 2G (900 & 1800Mhz). Besides directly listening, 2G can be fooled into using a hackers cell tower and then they can monitor your data and a lot of others
The other thing I learned was that expensive smart appliances report their power use to the meters using Zigbee which can be not secure
So they can know what equipment in your house you use and how much. I guess also what house to rob.

Here's some positive:
In a few days convicted felon Trump will be sentenced.
Between now and Nov 5th Trump will scare a lot of people out of voting for him.
Biden will continue to do a good job.

I think another thing to consider is that changing the top ticket now will make the dems look weak and hurt down ballot candidates.

My apologies if that came across that way. Good presidents can lose re-election.
But it is late in the election cycle. The issue is the American people. Not enough of them see what is a good or bad president.
Changing the Democratic candidate now won't change that no matter who it is.

I just stepped foot into the Rod Serling rabbit hole. I was wondering what he did besides Twilight Zone and Night Gallery.
Prolific is an understatement. His IMDB entry has so many entries for him as a writer. Lots of it posthumous.
The most interesting thing I learned was he was one of the writers for the original Planet of the Apes with Charlton Heston.

Please keep in mind the the Republicans are trying to keep Biden off the ballot in some states.
This will get worse if Trump is re-elected.
The reason they won't turn their initiatives on Dr West is that they know that his candidacy will hurt Biden.
When democracy is on the line do you want to be a tool of the republicans?

The polls have already been showing this. From a May Marist poll:
"While 67% of registered voters nationally say it makes no difference to their vote if Trump is found guilty in his “hush money” trial, 17% report they would be less likely to vote for him if he is convicted. 15% would be more likely to vote for Trump."
