@npub199e…pcwa The biggest strength is also *one of* its biggest weaknesses - people/communities. Humans are good at self-organizing and governing, until we’re not. Giving us control over how we run and moderate our communities is a big strength, but human nature causes drama and “Fedi” has plenty of this.

OK, so I finally got around to trying out Stage Manager + External Monitor with my 11in iPad Pro and wow. It’s not *perfect* but it is insanely functional. I could absolutely use this as a 100% “real” computer replacement. Sure, there are some workflows that are impossible on current iPad hardware/software (e.g. running BurpSuite, virtualizing Windows, etc…) but for daily driving, blogging, research, photo editing/management, even podcasting, it is fantastic. #apple #ipad #blogincoming

You can search for a community directly within Mastodon web UI or your mobile client of choice via (at)communityname(at)lemmyinstance which will bring up the list of threads you can peruse and reply to directly within Mastodon.
You can also search a post URL within Mastodon (web UI for sure) and then reply directly to a post or a comment that way.
