Vanilla OS 2 Released Based on Debian Sid + Android App Support
Looking for a sweet new Linux distro to try? Vanilla OS 2 'Orchid' has been released. Compared to the first first release of Vanilla OS in 2023 a lot has changed. Vanilla OS 2 is now built atop Debian (Sid). The distro announced its switch from Ubuntu last year to enable it to provide a more 'vanilla' GNOME experience, skip snap-related package swap snafus, and not be bound to Ubuntu's release schedule.

I was made aware of the issue last night and my hosts (Pressable) have been very proactive and helpful. All I can seemingly do is delete the image and purge the CDN (which I've done).

I am aware some of you can't access the site atm due to it being add to DNS blocklists.
I don't really understand how/why but this is the best of my understanding:
A malware peddler used a hot-linked image (a 'Chrome Update' thumbnail) on our CDN. Thus, our unique CDN (the site is hosted by Pressable) has been added to blocklists and is now inaccessible to lots of you.
Form what I can see there's no real way of "undoing" the damage they've done, sadly.

@npub1clz…en9d Same here re: the network displays app - its never worked with my miracast dongle. I guess the fact it hasn't been updated in an age probably explains why! Chances are this will be more robust and reliable - or so I'm hoping!
