@npub12ze…hunm Last time I saw Lou Barlow was at an Elliott Smith tribute show in Nashville, I believe. Such a beautiful experience.
My friend Aaron booked them (Sebadoh) a few times in Florida, and they were honestly some of the nicest guys I’ve ever met.

I’m just going to flat-out say it: #BlueSky is trash. It’s somehow LESS polished than #Threads, which is also pretty trash.

#Relatica has really filled the empty space of #Friendica clients. @npub1agu…j0sk has been working on this solo (from my understanding), and it’s honestly more functional than some “polished” #Mastodon apps, for example.

I’ve all but completely abandoned “big social” media altogether (still use a couple for music reasons), and I don’t miss it at all.
On the #fediverse, I can just leisurely scroll around, engage with whomever I choose, have pleasant discourse, then put it away. There’s no feeling of, “I have to say something so everyone knows I’m alive and well.” It’s relaxing. And as an unexpected bonus, the people here are genuine and kind.
This, to me, is what social media should be like.
