Ooh, I missed this answer!
I'm running the WHY 2025 swap table. I'm doing it in part wearing my hat as a board member of [@trans_rescue](https://mastodon.social/@trans_rescue ) , as a publicity and I hope fundraising thing. If you don't mind, I'm using the EMF2024 source story as a hook, complete with Chinese G-M tube module and big red flashy light.

Can I make a suggestion? How about if people going to #EMFcamp have a non-volatile #EMFnamebadge?
The event badge is a thing of beauty, but its display is small and it needs to be powered on to see the name.
Can I suggest people have something that's large enough to read, and which doesn't need batteries? One of the e-ink badges for example, or just a big bit of card with your name written in marker pen.
I know I'm not alone in having a poor memory for names and faces.

I am trying infra-red therapy to fix the aftermath of a muscle tear I had a few months ago. Still occasional pain, it's loose muscle fibres moving against the membrane and will clear up.
Therapy lamps are crazy expensive. LED lamps on the same wavelength are not. So I have a small LED flood intended for a security camera strapped on top of the painful bit of my arm, powered from a USB-PD board. About 3 watts.
It's pleasantly warm.

I'm now middle aged, and I don't have any children.
It really pisses me off when parent types dismiss you as of no account because you haven't bred.
It's not as though I didn't *really*, *really*, want a family, but didn't get a chance for one to happen to me.
