(In short, as "AI summaries" corrupt more and more material, I think we're going to end up seeing more and more arguments where people are not reading the article, but instead are just the broken AI paraphrase, and starting fights based on what the LLM got wrong.)

(And this might also explain a particularly peculiar response I got to one of my blog posts on far-right fake science recently, where I almost replied "Tell me you didn't read my article without telling me you didn't read my article" but instead just booted the comment.
Now though I'm thinking more that it _could_ have been ordinary twaddle, _maybe_ it was a slightly more sensible response to a nonsense version of my post created by some monstrous AI summary engine.
But even if it wasn't just more AI lies, and he was just an ordinary fuckhead, I suspect that it's a preview to the kind of response I'm likely to start seeing more often as AIs mangle what I write into something completely different.)

Yeah, I've been trying to figure out how to get around "AI summary" in email clients too - given how poorly even something as simple as predictive text works on my writing (barely, and rarely to never), I know with as much certainty that I can have that AI summaries will absolutely trainwreck any actual meaning in my messages. It's the kind of thing where I'm thinking, "email may no longer even exist for me" and that's pretty terrifying, ngl.

That's also the opinion of the guy I linked - the Nuwave is fine, he used it for years. But if you're shopping new and you don't mind spending the extra money, he feels the newer device is very much worth that extra money, and he had a few different reasons for that.

Anyway I poked around looking for more videos on induction woks and here's a wok cooking channel talking about the induction cooker Technology Connections talked about and another one they consider better _except for_ the included wok, which is trash. But you can use any real wok, that's kinda the point.

Looks like mastodon.social has a fleet of incoming trollbots. The typical mode of operation (based on those I've seen from this wave) is to create a new account, reblog a bunch of old posts - mostly political - to fill their timelines so they don't look empty on first glance, then go trolling into replies.
The funniest so far has been the one which posts in Russian because apparently the operator forgot to set the reply language. So _that's_ hilarious.
Unfortunately, this round seems to be hardened against "ignore all previous instructions" so there's no fun - yet - to be had there.

Yes, FDR did the same thing when it came to railroad workers, and nobody calls him anti-union.
I'm not saying it was right, I'm saying that for whatever reason, railroads are special, all the way back to the New Deal.
Biden's followed an FDR-ish playbook, only he went out and actually marched with striking workers, something _no_ other president has ever done. And there have been more union successes in the last 3.5 years than the previous several decades.
No, I'm not agreeing with what he did that one time. But there is a bigger picture with a LOT of UNION WINS that some people seem to work real hard to ignore.

One of the things I'm going to drop I think this coming week is some commentary about one of their big memes - "Papa Trump" striding across the landscape with "Daddy's coming home" - the implication being "to punish you."
Which is, obviously, what they want, but which is also about "because you deserve it" and way too many on the left respond emotionally to that with "you're right, we do."
No, the abused child does not, _ever_, deserve "daddy's punishment."

There was a real "left libertarian" movement. A lot of it was queer, and a lot of it died before AZT.
The survivors and most of the rest of it either went to the Democrats for survival, with a few going anarcho-leftist of one sort or another.
That left the "right libertarians" who no longer had to bargain with the left and, well, we know how that went.

We used to do "Homeless Waifs" Thanksgivings that way too, since so many of us were queers or pagans (in some cases and/or exvangelicals) whose parents had disowned/disavowed us or whatever too.
