This was one of the routes I wanted to take. First by bike until I got to know it was forbidden.
Then I tried to find another path which I couldn't find. Instead I endet up in a dense spruce tree area where I probably could have found anything but a path.
Then returned to the road and wanted to just walk it. Until I came to this section. I shortly thought about climbing through it. But I was concerned about all the trees on the other side and refused.

This was probably the least enjoyable hike since long!
- Paths were closed, non existent, washed away and blocked until I finally found one
- it was hot with high humidity
- I took too few brakes
-I didn't have enough to drink ( drank 4L in the evening)
-I lost the path in steep terrain
- Cows blocked the path repeatedly.. Of course only in steep terrain.
But! I finally visited this summit, I enjoyed rolling down with the bike and found some personal limits.

Oh that's quite some fog. Must have been a really special mood to be wrapped up in fog so much
I just try to imagine .. but .. the closest I probably know would be fog in winter (to have almost no details on the ground as well).

It's cool, isn't it? It was really fantastic to walk there - especially as I assumed that that might be a bit busy on a sunny day.
But that day ... the whole loop was there just for the two of us. And with the low visibility we really felt embraced by nature.

I wanted to post this photo from our vacations in the #BlackForest anyways - and saw that today's theme of #Fotovorschlag is "Wege" (paths, ways, ..). Nice coincidence I would say!
It looks nice moody and foggy on the photo. In fact is was raining quite a bit.
I took it including the signs so that I have a memory of #hiking in the core zone of the #nationalpark ( @npub1xf6…nxxe )

But coming back to our vacations: When we left I thought: "yeah was nice - but would I like to go there again? Not sure"

Here's a view of the #Sankenbachsee in the #BlackForest (#schwarzwald). Taken on a #hiking day during our vacations.
It's a bit of an interesting story as the lake is a natural lake that silted up but was dammed up again in 1980. Pretty good that this was done.

Yeah I think I got some lines! The photo is part of my #pristineWinter collection. I took it when I was descending from a local mountain on a rather snowy day.
It's funny because I walk this trail rather often - even in winter. Yet it took me really long to finally see this part of the whole panorama.

Procrastinated bloggin successfully by hanging around in Lightroom editing this photo. I felt like yesterday's version wasn't "finished".
I wanted to try a brighter style with more glow around the sun and I managed to remove a very distracting blade of grass.
Well, I hope you like it a bit.
About the chapel: I only knew the marker on the map and assumed no more than a cross in the forest. Well, I was "a bit" surprised. Btw it was built in 1687.

Hi friends!
As I won't be able to compile the video the next day, I decided to just share the photos already. I played around a lot with foregrounds .. and honestly deleted most of them - but I also learned a lot.
We did this trail ... many years ago and we always wanted to revisit it. (of course I felt challenged to take better photos as well)

One of the photos from our hike through the #gleirschklamm near #Scharnitz . I finalized the #photos already - yet I'm struggling a bit with video-or-not.
Anyways, I like how the stream winds through the photo. I had to work a bit on the rock on the left so that it doesn't just look like a huge boring block.
I hope you feel both the strong stream but also the calm atmosphere of the moment.

Elevation data is a true mystery: My routeplanning on #OutdoorActive says that my route covered 854m elevation.
My cycling computer with a barometer says, I covered 941m.
And if I turn on elevation correction on #Garmin connect, it's 1146m
... uhm - well - okay. Let's agree on "I did some #mountainbiking today and it was a lot of fun" 🤷‍♂️ -- And it took me just 3h instead of the 4:40h planned by OutdoorActive.

That's a topic for me again, #FotoVorschlag "radausflug" / "Cycling trip"
As I'm a fan of #mountainbiking my trips sometimes include quite an incline. That day it was about 1000m incline. On some parts we decided to push the bikes because we were just not strong enough to cycle them.
The view atop was great, we were exhausted, hungry and super happy 😊

Hey friends! We just came back from a great hike near #garmischpartenkirchen. We wanted to do this mountain recently but the snow in the upper part was too risky for us.
Today we went there again. Beautiful ascent, nice views. Some spray rain and a slippery, dirty descent. But at the end we even had some sun!
Now we feel tired and a bit sore 😉
