The best solution I have found for giving a single post on WordPress its own styling that does not involve editing the theme files is to create a post that contains an iframe that loads the post’s HTML, CSS, JS from somewhere else. This will result in the site theme’s chaos around the post content area instead of a full page experience, but that seems better than a fragile solution modifying the theme.

If a WordPress website wanted to do a fancy scrollytelling article, what is the best way to isolate the HTML, CSS, and JavaScript used exclusively for that one post from the rest of the website?
My research suggests either heavily modifying the theme (risks the post losing its functionality because post CSS, JS get separated from content) or creating a child theme for the post (which requires modifying the primary theme and has same problem).
Surely there is a better way…

My grandma died yesterday. We hadnt spoken in 15 years. The gay thing was hard for her. She had many great/grandkids from 7 kids to never have to work thru that. I choose to remember her for showing up when it mattered. She provided strength, comfort, great food in my mom’s final months of cancer. She always took care of people in crises. She was a calm in their storms. She never acknowledged receiving it, but my cousin told me she put a photo of me and my husband with her other grandkid photos.

How much more difficult would it be for a government to block content on many federated social websites vs a centralized site?
ActivityPub creates a social layer for the web. Its censorship resistance is similar to any website, but the protocol is more analogous to email. Someone’s post is pushed to their followers, so content is replicated. The creator can delete their copy, but deletes take the form of a request for the original recipients to do so.

Within 1 day of the crash, the Nikkei 225 index was back to its January value and the Dow Jones Industrial Average back to its May value.
There were reasons for minor pessimism, but not a crash. Nothing geopolitical happened. Fundamentals are sound. Economy is doing fine-ish.

@npub1vtx…cnd8 Just switched to Cal.com from SimplyMeet after seeing your post. I evaluated it before, but it did not have CalDAV support so I couldn't use it with Fastmail. Now it does and it seems mighty nice!
