the first time I read the news it was MS released MSDOS 4.0 as open source. Then it mutated to Microsoft released MSDOS as open source.
I'm waiting to see if at some point it turns into MS released open source 🤷
(this is positive PR for Microsoft, isn't it? I can't help thinking: why should we care? we had [@freedosproject](https://fosstodon.org/@freedosproject) for almost 30 years now)
