Customer of 7 years wants us to sign a supplier code of conduct agreement!
Most is that we comply with all laws, and some specific laws (slavery laws, etc).
Well, I did not know they were optional, maybe they can tell us more. And if we did not comply with laws would we comply with contracts law on such an agreement we signed?
Main issue is getting *our* suppliers to agree the same, LOL, can you imagine trying to get BT to do that.

Anyone had any experience with MEMS microphones. I seem then as low as $0.03
I have seen some places say they have a simple output with a voltage bias already, e.g. around 0.8V.
But most things consider circuits to replace analogue microphones with capacitive coupling and a separate bias.
My thought is if the output is already DC biased, it could go directly to an ADC input on an ESP32, and need no other components to allow reading an audio input.
But data sheets seem unclear,

So, the latest fun.
#TOTSCO have a form on their control pages (logged in, 2FA, https), that allows us to put in the credentials, URLs and IP addresses for our end.
But...
1. They don't allow us to edit those!
2. Even though I put them in, they ask us to send them in *plain text email* (i.e. unencrypted).
I bet they send the credentials for their side in plain text email, just waiting to see.
They are using outlook.com, does that train AI on emails? This could be fun!

When I fell in Castle Meadows, over a year ago, it was first time I had ever had a confirmed broken bone (though I think I must have broken a rib once before). I damaged my wrist and elbow most. I had not realised how these things seem to be able to come back randomly. A couple of times since my wrist has spent a day trying to kill me. Today is one of those days. Arrrg!

OK I’m going to float an idea on here. It looks like we won’t be able to cancel a “broadband switch” from losing side. So won’t be able to do “anti slamming”. Shame.
But to switch using OTS you have to have a match on surname (using some fun, and vague, rules for accented characters).
So we could allow customers to set any surname on a line, and use as a sort of “password”.
After all, you can call yourself what you like, and we have to accept changes to personal information.

I construct the SQL query and pile on the conditions - installed and not ceased and not in the middle of a port, and the right account number and line number and so on.
I get either zero, one, or more results. If I get one, I respond with matching details.
But it not, I have to send a failure. Let's check the failure codes.

To be honest, there is no way a starship captain directs the ship using "degrees mark degrees". It would not be precise enough, for a start, and no way that it would make sense.

TIL you don’t just get in to a space suit and leave your space ship, like the do in so many sci-fi, but you need to do a lot of pure oxygen first to get rid of nitrogen in your blood. This is one I don’t know…
JLC say one component, a tiny LED (1x1 m with 4 pads) has to be soldered within 24 hours of opening package, and if not (which JLC say they cannot guarantee) they have to be baked first, as susceptible to moisture.
I assumed it was the pads and would lead to a dry joint.
JLC are saying it’s not, and some aspect of the component itself! Surely that makes no sense as reflow would bake it anyway and moisture is a risk after soldering, if so.
Are they bullshitting me?

But yes, fibre if you can...
In my case it is around the outside of the house and an outbuilding and some PoE involved, hence not fibre.

Either way you need UVC stable sleeve, but the heavy duty gel filled stuff is evil* to work with. I suspect only needed if you are running under water. I have some running inside a drain pipe to get from roof to ground level.
*protective gloves and a lot of patience.
Looks like Kenable do the later, for burying.
