Dismissing something as an "implementation detail" is always a trait which worries me. In my life, these details always matter. People who pretend these details do not matter come across as telling me that I'm scum.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. If you want your students to join in the classroom conversation, make sure there is a classroom conversation they don't have to start. Bring a friend to the classroom whose job it is to interrupt you. They don't need to do any prep: in fact, it's better if they don't. (Do a wee bit of prep if you want to swap roles from time to time. That's a good way to refresh attention.)

Never imagine that [4] can acceptably perform the role of a noun in a sentence, meaning a paper which has been written by people.
The people deserve their names to be put in the sentence, with [4] as a parenthesis, enabling readers to look the paper up.
