@npub1psd…9sr7 One time when I was new to an organization, I had to fly to XYZ city. I was going to meet up with some other people who were flying in and would have a rental car, so the only transportation I needed to worry about was between the airport and the hotel. The hotel had an airport shuttle.
The audit detected that I didn't reserve a rental car, so the travel request got kicked back to me to budget for a rental car. I sent it back saying that I was using the hotel's gratis transportation. I then received a 5-page form that I had to fill out to prove that this was a cost savings.
I learned the fix to this was to reserve a rental car and then cancel the car after the travel authorization was approved.

@npub1f2y…m58m Indeed not. One nice thing about living in Ohio was that when I had to travel East, same time zone. When I had to travel West, I could keep my body on its normal sleep schedule, or even sleep in and get up at 3am local time.

This tracks with something I observed a long time ago. I call it "The Interstate Accent" because what I noticed is that regional accents are weaker near interstate highways.

@npub1ht0…dyc3 Down South, it still wouldn't be the gravy you're accustomed to. It's a thick white gravy that makes the sausage stick to the biscuit. Less of a condiment that's added to biscuits, more of an ingredient that's part of the "biscuits and gravy" flavor and mouth-feel.

@npub1typ…c8hh absolutely! Digit separators are one of the things (but not the only thing) that I'm looking forward to in C23.
As I noted a couple of years ago when reading @npub136u…wm2a's update on the process:
"The digit separators might even make me less skeptical when students insist that 0b011111111000000000000000000000 is more readable than 0x7F800000"
What's funny is that for all the people who agreed with me, no one noticed that the binary literal has only 30 bits instead of 32. Which emphasizes the point (and was also an actual student error).

When time is frozen, am I able to see when I'm staying perfectly still? If so, does everything appear white?
If the answers are "yes" and "no" then, I'm going to start by experimenting with progressively "longer" periods of timefreeze, to see if objects get hotter the longer time is frozen.
If there's no risk of melting the universe, then I'm going to start by studying the current physics body of knowledge. Then I'm going to get to work on fixing that body of knowledge.
Explanation:
If photons are also "frozen" then the only way for me to see is to move so that my eyeballs strike photons. If I can see, then photons keep moving.
If everything appears white, then a plausible explanation is that there are no new photos emitted, but everything perfectly reflects all photons.
If photons move and some photons are absorbed, then there MUST be new photons being emitted. (And if objects can't shed heat, then absorbing photons will make them hot.)
