I know I am repeating myself but if ads had never gotten so intrusive back in them olden days when Futurama did a gag on it even, adblockers would not even be a thing.
People had no problem navigating a page with a top banner and a bottom banner, both clearly adspaces like in the newspapers, so no "pretending to be articles" either.
Also if there were no trackers, there are still pages I would turn off the adblocker on to support. But since you also have to disable tracking... no.

So apparently MSB, the Swedish authority for "Protection of Society and Readiness" apparently warned Svenska Kyrkan (The Church of Sweden) that they had a HUGE security problem that could be easily patched one week before the enormous ransomware attack.
...AND nobody did anything so everything went to Hell (pun intended) for a month almost.
...our own IT department (where I work) used this attack to prove we should not have to accept budget cuts next year.

"Fun" event tuesday.
My coworker is legally blind (all he has is 2% eyesight on the left eye, nothing on the right) with a guide dog and cane and everything.
In the last month he has almost been hit by bike riders 5 times by rider who think they own the whole place not just the bike lane.
When he and our boss did an outside interview with the local paper about this the reporter was hit by a bike rider.
I have said it before, as a pedestrian bike riders scare the fuck out of me. Cars? no.

Yes I have locked myself in to a service but I did it by actually USING the service.

I don't do horror or misery porn. Not because I can't handle it but because the way I'm wired I don't get any positive feedback from it. Same with rollercoasters btw. So at best it makes me sad for no reason.
I have never watched an anime or played a JRPG that held my attention for more than 30 minutes. Not sure what the issue is other than I sometimes feel like a fraud for calling myself a geek when I've not finished a single FF game... 😅
