In India EV news today, a few 2 wheeler EV OEMs are willing to share any customer data required by the government.
First these 2 wheeler EV makers did not comply with FAME II localisation norms—mandating at least 50% of their components in the EVs be indigenously manufactured or locally sourced, because they weren’t able to source local materials. This must have been clear to them at the manufacturing stage.
Then they passed on the subsidy to customers for sales numbers.
Now after the government asked these EV makers for their share and delisted them from NAB portal, they are requesting them to reinlist without paying the government since somehow it’s unfair to damage a company’s future business because of past wrongdoings.
And what about the subsidy that is passed on to the customers? Apparently they can be asked to return the subsidy amount. And for this EV makers are willing to share customer data.

For example in Amethyst client on Android, view counter is available. I think same should be made available in Damus

We do it unconsciously on twitter. We have been accustomed to look at the bottom panel of every post on all social media platform for CTAs.

I keep trying to check out new things. I heard about Nostr when Jack posted on Twitter about Apple now allowing zapping on iOS and immediately tried it out.
With current social media landscape being run on whims of a few, I think decentralisation is the future.

Somebody did this calculation showcasing an average twitter user views roughly 400 posts per day.
For an average user: 4.4 hours = 264 mins
Reading speed = 250 words per minute
Total words read = 264 * 250 = 66k words
For ease, 30 days in a month.
Nb of words read per day = 2200
Average tweet size = 5.4 words
Number of posts read per day= 431 posts

People spend an average of 4.4 hours per month on Twitter.
I am pretty sure I spend more than that and hope that Elon didn’t use this simple of a math to come up with 8000,800 and 400 😅

Basically the backend is the protocol and frontend can be whatever the "client" wants it to be
User can decide the client
Even if one client blocks, a user can always use another client
But holy fuck! It feels like I was living under a rock!
