i just realized that with wordpress on the activitypub bus, you now have to deal with all the limits that imposes. or do you? users of wordpress expect to be able to use links and style, and put titles on their posts, and character limits are unknown.
as a writer and developer of communication tools this limit has been stifling. it's a barrier that would be wonderful to erase.

There are still a lot of great accounts that are only published on Twitter and that's not likely to change soon.
So the challenge becomes how to get feeds coming out of Twitter, without having to spend huge money on API access.
Might be something to fund with Patreon, or the like.

Every day a web page opens in Chrome from a plugin that's asking for me to buy a subscription. I don't know what the software is, I gather that it's related to a debugger I use for Node.js apps. I don't like that it does this and would like to block it, but I don't see an easy way to tell Chrome to not display pages from this site. Any suggestions?

every time you update your computer you run the risk of bricking the machine.

the programming is designed to keep us feeling like nothing is true, so our gears get stripped and we give up trying to understand.
meanwhile the mob takes everything that isn't nailed down.

There should be a Project 2025 website for Democrats.
It shouldn't pull any punches. One of the reasons imho people are lukewarm about the Dems is that they aren't defending the US well enough against the terrorists.
Unfortunately that now includes the Supreme Court. There should be an extensive plan for how the court will be reformed to get it back in sync with the Constitution.

I cancelled my NYT subscription. They can't hear their readers. It's time for a new journalism, and we're going to have to do it without them. I haven't cancelled my Washington Post subscription yet, but I'm pretty sure that's coming up soon enough.
