@nprofile…07t5 hehe I understand. I have not always been like this. But running is so important for me that I do what I have to in order to get it done. And repeating such behavior over an extended period .. at one point forms a form of habit. Or at least a mental attitude that makes it bearable.
The reason to not get up earlier still (for an easy start) is that I prioritize getting as much sleep as possible.
But I sleep to get up later any chance I get. I get up early out of necessity only😂

The evening prior; prepare all gear needed for the run (incl beanie, headlamp(s), running clothes, waterproof shell jacket, …). Set the alarm.
Sometimes I visualize (remind myself) - just as I’m about to head off to dreamland - the route I’m going to run. It eliminates any doubts the next morning - making it almost fully automatic 🙃
Morning; alarm goes off one time only (no thinking, no snoozing). roll out of bed. Put on all gear. Leave the house 🏡
😀 - that’s it.

Soon heading out for a trail run. This weeks long run.
This time a variant of a route I use once in a while … haven’t been in the new segments there … hope they’re good 🤠🏃🏻‍♂️👌🏼
Will also be using todays run to evaluate wether I can run long with my groin area niggles. If it is too painful or irritation blows up again … then I’ll have to skip next week’s race for sure. If not then it’s still an option I figure 🤞🏼
