We got scammed for some ideology BS one more time. Then people wonder why right wing parties are gaining so much traction? Or that #Trump is a bad guy?
We are bringing self destruction on ourselves for no reason whatsoever. Really no reason.
I wish there was a conspiracy theory I could believe in. At least I would blame it on some aliens or whatever.

several months ago #FDP already questioned the decision of shutting down the nuclear plants, like everyone with at least 1 neuron in their brain. But as our brilliant #kanzler said FDP is an obstacle for everything.

I am relatively pro nuclear etc, but I am not sure how good it is to claim that vitrified nuclear waste is not a problem. Well, it is. How big? That's more the question.
You need a site for nuclear waste disposal which will be used for that purpose for the next God knows how many years. Of course, if you ship it to cheap countries, yay, problem "solved"....

yes, I know how it works, unfortunately. And I agree with you in principle, however EU leaves a lot of power to the countries, unlike what ID and friends keep on saying.
I also mentioned that you do have a choice today. That you don't want to switch to German citizenship is your choice (totally understandable). But it's still your choice. It would be really bad if you as a EU citizen could not vote AT all in another EU country.

not sure I follow. As far as I know, even when double citizenship is not allowed, you can at least give up your original citizenship and get the new one (where you live in). Isn't this a choice?

go tell your Dutch government that still seems to live in the 60's in some cases. Very advanced on many topics, but in fact still quite "nationalistic" on others.
Thus, what should EU do? Allow for multiple citizenship? I would say why not,...
At the same time, it becomes a question.... if you live 40 years in another country, why don't you want to give up your other nationality? It's a personal matter, I know, but you have the choice.

I agree with you somehow, yet general state elections would be subject to high risk of people not giving 2 shits about the country they live in.
Right now you need to go through a real process (and even have to pay) if you want to do that. Most people won't bother. But imagine living 2 years in Spain and you vote, then another 3 in Germany and you vote, etc. You can literally mess up a country, more than it is/would be.

you can get double citizenship and vote in Germany too.
Not sure why you don't/didn't do it if it's so important to you.
