I'll join the thundering herd.
I'm on the market for a new role. I've got experience as a support engineer and Linux sysadmin. I've worked on help desks and as SaaS support. I've been using Linux personally and professionally for decades. I've self-hosted, worked in data centers, and used containers & virtualization. I don't have cloud experience (at least, on paper), but I'm willing to learn.
My last role was a bit of data science, release management, and business intelligence, and a lot of interacting directly with our key client.
Remote preferred, but open to relocation for the right role.

I've found XMPP (Prosody & Conversations) worlds easier to admin than Matrix (Synapse & Element), but I don't remember running into voice/video issues.

https://www.pgdp.net/ is the site to volunteer proofreading. It looks complex, but the onboarding process is good. I highly recommend the experience for anyone who might be interested.
There's also https://librivox.org/, creating audio books, and https://commonvoice.mozilla.org/, a project creating a dataset for voice recognition training. Mozilla's speech recognition was built from it.

@npub1zgl…rqd7 I ran into this when I was learning Guix, but I blamed it on my inexperience and it eventually went away with more config changes/system inits.
I doubt inexperience is your issue, though :blobfoxlaughsweat:, and now I'm wishing I'd taken better notes.
As I recall, I reduced my config down to simply what was needed to boot and login, then built back from there and didn't encounter it again.

This just feels analogous to people complaining that video games are boring now, but they're only playing AAA titles.

Start rationing what you have for tougher days.
If you have insurance, call and see if they'll do an override to substitute generics or brand name, whichever you don't usually take.
Without waiting on that to pan out, call your doc's office and lean on them to provide care.
Since you're changing docs anyway, shop around to see if someone else could help sooner.
Generally, be a thorn in everyone's side until it's sorted.

It's not a hard concept to grasp. Start by throwing out everything you know.
"Racism" means no more than "ill treatment because of someone's race".
Each situation has no context. History or even current events from next door don't count because they're not *here* and *now*.
Now sprinkle in some just-world fallacy. Racism was mostly defeated by Civil Rights, and "I've not seen any recently."
With that monomaniacal myopia, you, too, can be convinced it exists!

I agree with it. Let me explain.
Images/code get output with simple prompts, true. People balk at "original", but collage is counted as a creative act.
The interesting part, to me, is the writing. We just had a stat come out that most USians don't reach a 6th grade reading level. I hope other nations do better, but its output will be both clearer than theirs and convincing to them.
Even if it does occasionally talk about melting eggs, I think it qualifies.

Having just put Linux on a cheap Acer Chromebook that had fallen out of support, it's running better with Gnome than it ever did with ChromeOS. To say nothing about the lighter alternatives.
Some models don't convert well, but most do.
Having done this sort of thing en mass, the biggest impediment is the models that require you open them up to enable developer mode.
