@npub1rtc…9wd6 @npub1ggq…6djd uh, maybe? I'm not sure, I haven't used VST effects so far, I only know support for them exists from reading PRs on github and stuff.

@npub1rtc…9wd6 @npub1ggq…6djd we have better sample support in the nightly version. I'm not sure if the alpha version has those improvements as well; nightly is pretty stable (as in: doesn't crash much) so it's worth a try. It's certainly more stable than 1.2.2 in my experience.
As for plugins - sure we support those. Just instrument and effect plugins, but I'm not aware of other DAWs having more than that. We don't support every type, but the most used ones.

Thanks to Micheal Gregorius, LMMS now builds on #NixOS! The culprit was our build script assuming perl was inside /usr/bin/ - which doesn't really exist on Nix.
