The UICollectionLayoutList stuff worked out pretty well. Probably took an extra 2-3 days of work, but feel like I ended up with less hacks to get specific behavior I wanted. I can see using it for any brand new bits of code that require TVs.
The Configuration based Cells I'm still on the fence about, certainly better than the UIButton configuration stuff but something still feels off about it. It did probably save me from creating a couple cell subclasses though…

I've seen a number of folks talking about fan noise on the 27" iMacs but this 2019 isn't bad at all. I've heard it a couple times when really pounding on the CPU but probably wouldn't have noticed if I wasn't listening for it. Right now I've had all cores pegged for about 10 minutes and its sitting at 90C with fans slightly above idle but inaudible.
It might be throttling itself big time, but whatever its a ton better than the 2018 Minis that hit 100C and max fan if you just look at them funny.

Charging for an API isn't necessarily bad, a fairly priced API with service/feature level guarantees could make for better clients (I asked Twitter for this often). But doing that correctly is complex. How do you deal with trials? Multiple account/devices? Incredibly heavy users? Lots and lots of questions.

In the Enterprise sign up form they make it seem like the Enterprise APIs don't change. The Enterprise API aren't a superset of the V1.1/V2 API, they're fairly different and limited in scope.
So what happens to the hundreds of companies who need more access than the crap-o level provides? IFTTT, ZenDesk, Buffer, Block Party, etc…

I suppose one decent way to do this is if the Mastodon project would add that file in to the project (it's not highlander rules, multiple apps can be associated). Then assuming Apple doesn't have a limit on associations per app (anyone know?) I could stick in the top 500ish instances easily enough.

The process of adding support to an instance is pretty simple, just need a json file at /.well-known/apple-app-site-association with an "applinks" hash. Then it needs to get added to the app as well. Willing to add more in for some of the bigger instances just not sure if there's some kind of limit on Apple's side.

As part of Ivory 1.3 I added in support for universal links. They should now be enabled for mastodon.social links (assuming Apple has finished caching the association file). Pretty cool, just wish there was a more generic way to do it instead of instance by instance.

The Do Not Disturb System "Settings" 🤮 pane has no indication of if DND is on or off and no way to toggle it on or off. How is this a thing?
I accidentally turned on DND via the keyboard shortcut and it took me a good couple of minutes to figure out how to turn it off (again via the shortcut I didn't even know existed).

If I'm reading between the lines correctly, they are merging the Enterprise + Public APIs into a single product. The old Public API calls will all get put under a Tweet cap (50M Tweets for this small plan). The Tweet cap counts each Tweet returned by the API call.
50M seems like a big number, but as a point of reference before Tweetbot 6 came out, I implemented a single capped API call and sent it out to ~100 beta testers. They blew through the 500K cap we had in about 2 days.
