mostly just the payments. I still like my car but I know it isn’t a car I’ll want to be driving in 5 years. The range is killing me a bit, and the charging infrastructure is basically nonexistent right now because EA isn’t building new charges in the area and EVgo isn’t repairing the ones they have. There are 11 chargers capable of fast charging infrastructure Tacoma right now for CCS. It’s a nightmare.

it’s a handheld gaming device that streams the ps5 games to it. It doesn’t run them itself. It works on a local network as well as on a network outside of the home if it’s good enough.

I believe it’s a limitation of their spectrum, as well as DOCSIS. DOCSIS 4.0 is rolling out in some markets which I believe will enable better upload speeds.

I went with another Mac mini since it has the processing power I need and it is also compatible with my current external drive. It supports everything but hardware tone mapping, and its internal processor is powerful enough to do it without hardware acceleration for my use cases. (1-2 streams max if that were to ever happen.)

I think that this was a symptom of a larger issue that is happening right now related to some issues they had with a hardware deployment. I don’t use that hardware but I could see them trying to fix it and it messing up stuff for others.

as I understand it it’s perfectly acceptable to also use ultra thin wire for short distances within the chain of PoE. You can do PoE++ without issue over ultra thin patch cables, though inside the wall should be 23awg. And 28awg should be avoided within conduit.

My Apple TV keeps picking up WiFi and dropping it. It is connected to Ethernet and that section of the #unifi app looks fine without any drops… I have no idea why this has been happening. Anyone have any ideas? It gives a “no network detected” message everytime it happens. Very annoying in HDR.

yeah, wireless CarPlay is meh. It’s not always entirely an apple issue, some auto manufacturers implementations are garbage which makes it worse. We recently had a Chevy Malibu rental….. that fucking piece of shit would have driven you crazy with how bad the CarPlay experience was.

androids implementation is probably better at using the head unit’s GPS, or the android implementation isn’t using the head unit’s GPS. Regardless, CarPlay itself is a disaster when wireless; I opt for wired most of the time. Apple Maps itself is very reliable and doesn’t do this type of thing when wired. I’ve never liked wireless CarPlay.
