androids implementation is probably better at using the head unit’s GPS, or the android implementation isn’t using the head unit’s GPS. Regardless, CarPlay itself is a disaster when wireless; I opt for wired most of the time. Apple Maps itself is very reliable and doesn’t do this type of thing when wired. I’ve never liked wireless CarPlay.
