Thanks for trying it out. It also does that for me. That sucks, I hope they sort that out. I would gladly pay for a Fountain.fm premium if they're offering it via Lightning.
Bonus points if they did it via Nostr Wallet Connect similar to how Mutiny does its Mutiny+ subscription.

This is my guess as well. If Stroll Jr. doesn't improve he's going to further drag AM's 2024 campaign to the ground. The lack of performance could be grounds to put Stroll Jr. on the WEC program that AM seems to be developing. But eh, who knows.
I mean, if he can at least match or be a tenth slower than Alonso they'd comfortably outscore Mercedes in points.
Maybe Stroll Sr. won't consider that since it's his son and all. But if he's a true racer, he'll at some point have to put his son on the rock grinder for dragging AM down.

Maybe I'm a bit cynical about Mercedes lately. It feels as if they're just going backwards this rules cycle.
I seriously hope they get it right in 2026. But their current form really doesn't inspire confidence. I'd be happy to be proven wrong though.

Sadly, Mercedes doesn't look like an attractive option right now. If they can't get a handle of the current regs, who's to say that they can handle 2026?
Admittedly, Audi is also an unknown quantity. But I'm firmly of the belief that the 2026 engine regs are the way they are precisely to entice Audi into F1 (a la Mercedes for the 2014 engine regs).

I did hear that line during the quali as well. Very interesting. If that's true and the ball is in Sainz' court then it becomes a question of whether (a) he's patient enough to see Audi develop into a championship winning team or (b) he's brave enough to fight Verstappen in his team and take a WDC right under his nose just before the regulations change.
I'd personally wager on the safer option. Bank in Audi and hope that they can quickly produce a championship winning car before he gets too old and decline in performance.

I'm currently archiving a bunch of links that I've saved while browsing the web. I don't think a lot of people realize how fragile web links can be.
There's nothing more annoying than going through your bookmarks only to find out that 70-80% of them are 404s.
Are you archiving your links? How about Nostr notes? I'm curious if anyone in this vast cyberspace has experienced the same issues as I did.

I like Monero as much as the next guy, but wouldn't delisting make it harder for people to get into it?
As it stands right now, I can only get Monero by getting Bitcoin for fiat and then converting that to Monero.
There's little to no market for Monero in where I live so it's practically impossible to get it even on P2P exchanges like Agoradesk.

I'd prefer having small blocks and run my own pruned and archival nodes instead of cheaper fees. The fee market will always adjust based on demand but the larger blocks can potentially make it harder for me to run my own node.

Really. I'm not really up to date with Bitcoin community news but I've listened to Saifedean Ammous' podcast where he talked with Saylor and my eyebrows raised when he suggested that "Bitcoin should stop trying to be a currency and that it should just be an asset to be held."
Of course, he's got his interests first before anything else. But man that made me think twice on listening to what he has to say.

I've been dabbling on a lot of RHEL lately. Overall, it's quite nice to use. It's not exactly minimal and compact like OpenBSD but for stuff that needs to run Linux, it's pretty good.

Hot takes and drama will always attract eyeballs. That's how tabloids and clickbait sites have worked and will continue to work. What nostr promotes is an open protocol, not a cure for human nature.
If you don't want to see hot takes and drama, you can probably design either a relay or a client that can filter for notes with an "unusually high engagement" numbers.
The same goes with spam and scam bots. It's not the responsibility of the protocol to filter them. Doing that will open the floodgates to what made corporate social media the way it is.
Filtering should be done on an individual level (i.e: client and relay implementations.)
That difference alone makes nostr wildly different than corporate social media.

Also, it would be really neat to set up a server that can deploy VMs and host network services on the fly. I'm still not sure how to approach it but I think the simplest way is to use vmm(4) in OpenBSD and host either Alpine Linux or another OpenBSD inside it.
I kind of regret setting my file server up in Debian now. Oh well, I still have an old board lying around. I just need to get that thing in a case and I can try getting OpenBSD inside it. Hopefully, I will be able to write about it once I actually get myself around to getting a case for it.
