relationship between violence and anarchy should be reevaluated. there is a discursive overcorrection going on that separates anarchy from violence in general. this goes way back, but the accusation that anarchy is violence is meant to cause it. Because this accusation not only stigmatizes anarchy, it also stigmatizes violence by association. Then, they can accuse especially violence state actors of being "anarchists". But the issue is not what is right or wrong. The issue is, why state has to stigmatize the source of its own existence?

There is a good quote from a left communist about "going where the masses are" kind of populist leftism. If you are with the people when they kneel, then you're kneeling with them. It starts in ballot box, it can extend to embracing national causes, popular unscientific superstition or family institution, or horrendous choices poor people do (re: last post), and it inevitable ends by kneeling in the church with the people, at the altar of fascism.

But individuals having a gun at their home doesn't necessarily make it more likely that they will be closer to be part of a libertarian milita. Banning guns for all would be terrible. But advocating that it is good that randos having ak's in their back packs in todays society is also wrong.

@npub1rr4…h68k Botttom up does not necessarily mean between atomised individuals. Even a newspaper brings numbers of people together. Collective action is hard to engineer, because we usually do it without thinking about it. It is hard to upstart, easier to intensify or move it towards a particular end. Collective action from below is systematically hampered, but it still happens. Art, to give an example, does this. The issue is extending and collectively managing such spaces into a revolution. Not to engineer a revolution ex nihilo.
