Jots are a #fountainpen that showed up in "dollar" stores maybe 9 months ago? They look like Lamys, but are clearly not. The cap takes a lot of effort to remove. The nib is quite scratchy but otherwise an ok EF. The grip is horrible. They come with a couple black cartridges.
Searching for "dollar fountain pen" might reveal a little. Here are a couple videos I ran into at the time:

Hi Jim,
Ya, they replaced the grip when it failed, no problem. I'm just tired of dealing with the pen when none of my others have an issue.
I kind of wonder if the plastic that they used back then was just brittle or something. It's a 2013, so they may also tell me to take a hike.
I've moved to an E95s for a travel pen which is *much* nicer, so I have little motivation there too.

This is the third (and fourth, on the opposite side) crack in this same Tswbi Mini #fountainpen. For what's supposed to be a travel pen, it sure is delicate. All it does is sit on my desk, and collect cracks.
I give up. Into the bin with you, dude.

A question for the #fountainpen folks:
Do you have to stir sheening inks to see the sheen? I know that shimmer tends to sink and thus need stirring or shaking, but I've never heard this about sheening.
I have a pen filled with Organic Studios' "Nitrogen" that only late in use started showing sheen. The picture shows the clear difference between the first and last use of the sample. Hard to believe that it's the same ink.
The strange thing is that there are ball bearings in the pen!
