@npub1ug7…n0uq we take care of 1200 acres or so. Corn, soy, wheat, green beans, hay for cash. Probably finish 200 head fat cattle per year. We normally have 100 mama cows but down a little bit currently. I have a small retail store in my little town selling beef pork chicken lamb and my wife does bakery items. We also have a sugar bush (maple). Yes TMR, and we have all kinds of tractors, no brand loyalty really. As long as it runs reliably.

@npub1ug7…n0uq this sucks, I grossed the most money in a year this year (cattle, grain, hogs, chickens etc) I also spent the most ( fertilizer, fuel, feeder cattle, vet bills, equipment, and financing) inflation is real and i don't see an end in sight from this side of the farm fence. I bought some decent 550 lbs calves today at $2.00/lb. Most I've spent on cattle, those same cattle will sell in 10 months and gross nearly $3k per head and there might be a $3-400 net if I'm lucky. These guys are in Lancaster County, PA. I ran into them a while back....they build some pretty rad coops with some of the features you speak of... to the tune of $30k.
I also saw a mobile coop that had lamb up front chickens behind all in self contained ship. Was featured in maybe "furrow" magazine. I'll see if I can find a link. That was really neat too.

@npub17xr…7v9v we contract with some people that send cattle to Gotham, and then I sell the junky cattle, which we fed very well, as freezer beef and in local store we bought in town. I have no idea what I'm doing but it's different and so far it works.

Which is bullshit, try to maintain a cow herd that produces 1000 lb carcasses is a losing proposition here at least. We have shitty wet winters
