@nprofile…mtwn Hm, although I like the concept, does anyone really follow them? From my experience with art hypebots, their boosts create little to no additional reach. Maybe starter packs would be a more sustainable option for discovery? Just thinking out loud, of course.

I've started to separate news and social media and I can highly recommend it.
:mastodon: I come here to vibe with my online buddies. The only doom I want to see here is doom metal, so my politics filters have 72 entries and counting.
📰 To stay informed, I've installed an RSS reader and subscribed to a selection of news sources. I can actively check the news whenever I'm in the right headspace.
You are NOT obligated to endure a 24/7 onslaught of doom in your safe haven. Reclaim that space. Filter and unfollow liberally. Stay informed if you can, but do so at your own pace. You can't win a fight if you have nowhere to wind down and regather your strength.

My man @npub1yu9…zv0s 3D-printed a little Beep (from #Kenshi) and a little Immortan Joe (from #MadMax) for me and I painted them today. Used a mix of speed paints and regular acrylic miniature paint. I'm not much of a mini painter, but I love how they turned out!

I think I broke my Pixelfed @npub12cv…p6n2 by trying to import ~250 old Instagram posts. 🙈 About 80 images are stuck being processed for about an hour now, while all others are ready for review, but only show broken images. (Also, the post count is still the same as before.)
For those who already imported theirs: How long did it take for them to show up?
