Big pharma has a large presence in NJ. Bristol-Myers Squib, Merck, J&J, etc all have headquarters or large campuses within a short span of each other. This is the area where I grew up and my family still lives there.
Pfizer gave Rutgers $1M and it still is requiring students to be up to date on their covid jabs. It’s very sad what an institution will do to sell themselves for the almighty dollar. Rutgers is my Alma mater and I will never give them a dime again.

I think she had a very hard time in 2016 when after the election, she and her whole family moved to DC and all of the cool kids wanted nothing to do with her. She couldn’t join the gym she wanted because there was so much uproar from the members. I don’t think it was a good experience for her at all.
Maybe now she’s trying to make up for lost time, I don’t know. She should’ve stayed in NYC.

Wow. This reminds me of a story I heard back during the 2008 recession.
At that time, repos were out of control at a gated community near me. The repo guy would make a deal with the car owner: Leave the car with the keys inside in the clubhouse parking lot and we won’t embarrass you in front of the neighbors by taking the car from your driveway. Tow trucks were there so often they called the clubhouse parking lot repo island for months.
I wonder if repo island is back.

Four months ago, my husband’s coworker wasn’t feeling well. He was in so much pain he went to the ER & they told him he had stage 4 pancreatic cancer. He tried the treatments but the cancer was all over & he died last week. Very sad. 25 people from work came to his memorial service, some flew in for it. It says a lot about the man. Lovely family. Just sad.
On Monday, another coworker died suddenly from cancer.
All were jabbed thinking they were doing the right thing.

This is true. Years ago, when I worked in international consulting, one of my projects was in Albania. During the civil war in 1997, the US was very quick to provide military evacuations of all American citizens. Each person being evacuated was allowed one suitcase and yes, they had to reimburse travel costs.
