@npub1ccn…czwu To be honest, I spent twelve years in parish ministry and three years seminary training and just could not reconcile "Don't be afraid. Love everyone. Harm no one" with the rhetorical pretzels we were twisting ourselves into to do everything but.
I don't regret my time there - good was done, but let's face it - going to church doesn't make one Christian or good the same way being in a garage doesn't make one a Car, or able to travel at speed.

@npub18lj…80hq One of my favourite teachings on this was a Rabbi on the intrinsic goodness of the atheist. I'm paraphrasing a longish teaching here, but that the religious does what they do for fear of loss of favour, or doctrine, or desire to please the divine. The atheist does good simply because it is the right thing to do.

@npub1lzz…jhl3 The (more) insane part is that he hasn't figured out that the Supreme Court doesn't want an authoritarian dictator because, oddly enough, then they would no longer be Supreme.
I can just (unfortunately) picture him in some Ebenezer Scrooge nightshirt, wandering the dark streets screaming, "MAGA! MAAAAAGAAAA!!!"
